Retribution Fleet Skills Competition
--------------------------------------

Greetings pilots of the Retribution Fleet. This is a short skills
competition that ANYONE can fly, but is not required. Please read all
the rules and procedures below.

Please note that these missions are extremely hard to complete fully.

Remember that this competition is the ultimate chance to prove your
skills against other pilots! Who will be the best?!

-- Rules (Short version)

Competition Scoring changes:
-Craft Loss: If you lose your craft, not only will 5,000 points be
subracted from your score like it normally would, but you will lose an
additional 5,000 points in this competition. So that's a total of 10,000
points for losing your craft.
-Allied Craft Losses: If you lose any allied craft, 2,000 points will be
subracted from your total, per craft. Make sure to mention in your
reports if you lost any or not.
-Mission Failure: If you fail the mission, a tfr file is not required.
However, the penatly is a 10,000 point reduction.
-Biffed Reports: If you screw up your report, I'll send it back to you
saying I need more information. If you can't supply the information I
need, there will be an 8,000 point reduction. Reports should include
Kills, Laser Hits/Shots&Accuracey, Missile Hits/Shots&Accuracey, any
lost craft, and the craft you killed. No excuses.

You may fly these missions an unlimited amount of times, in the 3 days
you have to fly them. There are a total of 3 missions to be flown.
Reports will go to r2freports@yahoogroups.com

Note I said r2freports@yahoogroups.com and not r2freports@yahoo.com,
effective immidiately that is the new reporting address for anything.
Historical missions, Tour missions, or Skill missions.

-- Competition Run-down

- One mission will be sent out every 3 days. You have exactly 3 days to
report on it until the next mission is sent out. So the competition will
last a total of 9 days.
- Laser accuracey will be counted throughout all three missions for a
combined total. People good in one type of situation may not be as great
in another. So it gives that room for great possibilities. Missile
accuracey will also be counted in with this.
- Total score will also be kept up throughout all 3 missions, along with
total kills.
- The pilot with the highest score will of course win. The winner
receives 5 merit points, and the R2F Pilot Award. Runner up will receive
4 merit points, 3rd place will get 3 merit points, and so on down the
line. Everyone who participates will receive at least 1 merit point.
- Additional merits will be handed out for people with the best
accuracey, the most kills, or the best stats in one particular mission.
For these, a bonus of 1 merit will be added to the tally.
