I wanted to give everyone an early-November update as to what we are working on behind the scenes to improve the RS and enhance our member's experience with the club as a whole. I'm excited to be able to reveal a new squadron member proposal and the first ever RS Pilot draft, along with brand new command staff members who have stepped up to the plate to help reshape the RS going forward.

The position of Logistics Officer has been filled by Captain Strike Adrella-Highwing; and I've already been given a massive fictional proposal for the next several sessions that I believe will be a welcome change of pace. The post-Titan storyline will actually explore some of the missions surrounding the beginnings of the RS in a throwback campaign that will span the initial formation of the RS, bringing back names and events from the fictional formation of the club. I'm very excited to announce that this storyline will begin at the start of next year.

With Licah stepping down from all of his command positions, Lieutenant General Anton "Ups" Nels has taken on the position of Red Dragon CO. Thank you Anton for stepping up and claiming the squadron mantle title!

Just an FYI, I am continuing my Fleet Commander Office Hours! Every Saturday at 2 PM EST you can find me in the Cooperative voice channel in Discord! Come play games! For the first one several of us dusted off Sins of A Solar Empire, and just this past Saturday included several matches of Starcraft II co-op. Feel free to come say hello, ask questions, or hop in for some matches.

The big announcement is a brand new squadron proposal designed to encourage competition and intra-squadron rivalries. The entire proposal can be found here:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Libtl_rSCPhci1Ge2pzO4iV7ndzvsRO7NjiMvgIx1cI/edit?usp=sharing

Please note this document is currently locked to VIEW only.

The TLDR of the proposal (For those who don't feel like reading the whole thing) is:

1. Squadrons reduced to 6 members.
2. Squad COs will *draft* their initial new squadron.
3. Squad competitions now mean something, with IC and OOC rewards tied to performance.

I am more than happy to continue to receive feedback on this proposal, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns please contact me via E-mail or Discord.

All active pilots will automatically be entered into the RS pilot draft. If you are currently on LoA, absent, or just plain feel like coming back to the RS, let me or the RSXO know and you can easily be added to the draft list to be placed into a new squadron.

Per the proposal I am looking for three members to step up and take the new Squadron CO positions that will be created. As explained in the document, these positions carry only a little bit of responsibility but have quite a lot of fun, interesting rewards and perks tied to them.

Finally, I am looking for an Academy CO. This position would require a little bit more work, as you would be responsible for contacting new members and getting them settled in. You would assist new members with getting acclimated with the RS before they are transferred to a new squadron after hitting the rank of 2nd LT.

Individuals interested can get in touch with either me or my XO, Fleet Admiral Lucas Benoit-Stark.

Thank you all, and stay safe!

At first read, I like it!

However, Anton, I've been in the Dagger 6 spot since March '02, so Dibs!"
