  You have arrived in the middle of an operation... we intercepted  a routine Imperial communication that the frigate Arkanor is en route to replenish its defensive compliment of TIEs following their depletion by Rebel activity and some being transferred to other commands.  Captain Telson has drawn up an ambitious plan to capture it.  If this is not possible, we shall destroy it instead.

  We have just returned from a successful ambush of the frigate.  We were able to coordinate the attack and hit both the warp generator and sub-light drives so it is now immobile.  This was a rapid hit and run attack and the TIE squadron was unable to engage us, for the most part.  While we refit for the next phase, you are to engage the TIEs and eliminate them all.  Welcome to Lyons Squadron !
