  Welcome aboard the Calamari cruiser Defiance! To bring you up to date on our objectives, the Defiance has been assigned to patrol for Imperial threats to our outposts. The Emperor has been sweeping the galaxy to find our bases, and so far we've avoided detection. Alliance High Command hopes to keep it that way.

  Just a week ago, we were assigned to watch over our mining colonies in the Dahvis system. Dahvis seems barren and useless at a quick glance, but we have discovered it has a huge deposit of Quadranium metals. We've been sending the metal to Incom, where it is refined and made into new X-Wings and Y-Wings for our use.

However, the Empire is not our only concern in the Dahvis system. Our convoys of Quadranium are like a magnet to the local pirates, the Bashilaks. The Bashilaks have acquired several surplus Y-Wings and transports, and constantly attempt to stop and capture our shipments. Your first assignment will be to escort three loaded corvettes from Dahvis to their hyperspace jump points.

You will fly in an X-Wing with one wingman to watch for Bashilaks. Most of their ships don't have hyperdrive and need to be brought in on bulk freighters, so they can't surprise you. Engage the pirates before they can disable the corvettes, they will probably send a boarding party and more fighters even if only one corvette is stopped!
