Flying missions like this is why I'm still an X-Wing pilot after all these years. Outstanding OpLan-style mission from C.J. Savage. I was kept zooming across the region to intercept bombers and attackers at various points. Plenty of enemy interceptors and, later, gunboats kept me on my toes as well. Reviewing the mission parameters, I was indeed wise to zoom, as all of the bombers focus on the CRS and the especially vulnerable FRT (one bomber could do 'er in by himself!)

From a purist perspective, it was a bit strange to have all the TIEs hypering in but not also be fitted with shields; still, that perspective is a losing battle for sure in the practical field of X-Wing missionmaking. This also makes the waves wonky, with the possibility of very late arrivals to the battlefield (later waves of T/I Eta-Gamma in particular for me).

Total time until mission complete: 16 minutes; 5 more minutes for mop-up. 20 minutes total time limit under OpLan rules. I would have had three fewer T/I kills had I run this as an official OpLan mission.

Strategy:
- For max score, you'll need to send home all your companions and count on your skill to not be eaten by the T/Is and GUNs.
- Clear each of 3 sets of 6 bombers quickly and efficiently as soon as they appear. Then you can finally concentrate on the ships going after you.

Rating: 9
+ This is a classic one-run mission -- you'll have to use a wide variety of skills, and deal with threats on multiple levels.
+ Replay value is also high, with skill needed to stay alive while tracking down sets of bombers.
- A few more touches of realism could have helped to earn the ultimate rating.
