The Oberon System
SYSTEM NAME: Oberon System
STAR NAMES: Oberon (Giant yellow mature star)
AGE: 4 billion years
GOVERNMENT: Rebel Squadrons/New Republic
Oberon, the final battleground of the Cadrel Expanse. After the Rebel Squadrons victory here the Imperial forces finally called an end to hostilities and expansion in the Cadrel Expanse. Once news of the victory here spread out through the other systems controlled by the Rebel Squadrons it sparked a tremendous celebration to mark one more powerfull victory for the New Republic.
Possibily the greatest aspect of the Oberon system comes from the planet Theseus, for it is one of the few habitable world within the Cadrel Expanse. Egeus may also have uses as a mining colony. The vast majority of the system has never been explored, but with the current period of peace Oberon promises to be an adventure for those with a heart to discover.

The following sections provide the physical and social characteristics for each of the significant planetary bodies in the Oberon System:
Pyramus
Pyramus lies extremely close to the large Oberon star, so close in fact, that the entire planet is superheatded to the point of constant core movement, cause large and frequent earthquakes and volcanic activity. The surface is a molten and rocky terain that would repell life even if the atmosphere were breatheable. The dangers of touchdown make Pyramus nearly useless.

Theseus
By typical standards, Theseus is the most aesthetically pleasing planet within the system. Often referred to as the "Green Orb," the planet is covered with green oxygen-producing plants, and a deep green sea that wraps around the world which gives it the pure green appearance from space. But the beauty matches the planet's potential services, with plenty of breatheable air, large supply of water, and perfect distance from the large Oberon star, Theseus is a stable life supporting world.
Before the outbreak of war in the system Theseus was colonized by a neautral system further out into the rim. While the colonists are peacefull and accepting, it is presumed that settlement by the New Republic may take time and many negotiations.

Mining Colonies
Egeus
The planet Egeus is a spectacular planet to view from space, it's mineral ore composition which reflects light, gives it a shiney silver appearance viewable from great distances. When viewed by eyesight on Theseus, Egeus appears as a very bright star, usually the first to appear during twilight on the planet's northern hemisphere.
Egeus primary use would be a mining world, as it is rich in necessary minerals. However, as of yet no mining goup has risked such an expenditure, leaving the planet available to the Rebel Squadrons for exploitation should they devise a means to handle the very light gravity and thin atmosphere.

Hippolyta
Little is known about Hippolyta other than it is a freezing world on the the very edge of the Oberon system. The planet does boast a dense atmosphere, however this is cause only to frequent snowstorms and packed ice. Since the planet is currently uninhabited, should exploration turn up any usefull materials it would be at the disposal of the Rebel Squadrons.
